The Process:

Our professional spray tan application is done in the comfort of your home. Your technician will set up the portable pop-up spray tent which eliminates the risk of overspray onto your floors. Chose a well lit area with a powerpoint nearby, we often find the kitchen or living room is an ideal spot.

Your technician will chat to you about the tan level you wish to achieve and will select the formula based on your skin tone and the event you are preparing for. You will be given a disposable shower cap and g-string to wear and the spray will begin. The process only takes a few minutes then you can dry off using the air from the spray hose once the spray applicator has been removed. Your technician will advise how long until you can shower and give you information about aftercare. Our tent and equipment is cleaned and sanitised between each appointment inline with GoGlow’s strict hygiene standards

How spray tanning works:

Our premium tanning solutions contain a natural chemical called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). It is derived from sugar cane and is natural and safe. The chemical interacts with the amino acids in skin cells and the skins turns several shades darker.

Before care:

It is important to prepare the skin to ensure an even, streak-free tan. It’s crucial to exfoliate and moisturise skin for the days leading up to the tan paying particular attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees and tops of the feet. Exfoliating is important as it removes dry skin which can make the tan look patchy. It’s best to exfoliate the night before your tan application so the pores have time to close, this will provide best results and avoid the risk of a spotty looking skin.

Moisturiser, make up and perfume can create a barrier between the skin and tanning solution, so ensure you shower before your appointment. Anything on the skin may reduce the effectiveness of the tan

Hair removal:

Shaving and waxing should be done the day before the application. 24hours gives the pores time to close and the skin time to recover

What to wear:

Dark coloured, loose fitting clothing is ideal

After care:

Leave your tan to dry completely as directed by your technician. Our spray tan solutions contain a cosmetic bronzer so the technician can be guided during application, this will wash off in the shower then your tan will develop gradually over 24hours. Ensure you shower in warm water (no too hot) just until the water runs clear. Pat the skin dry gently with the towel, do not rub the skin. Moisturising is essential for the longevity of the tan and will ensure your tan fades evenly and your skin remains supple

How long will my tan last and how can I extend the life of my tan:

With good after care, your tan should last 7-10 days. Avoid swimming in chlorine and sea water as this increases tan fading. Moisturise morning and night and avoid exfoliating. Ensure you pat your skin dry gently with a towel  after showering

Pregnant or Breastfeeding:

Spray tanning is perfectly safe if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding but it is recommended a face mask be worn. A disposable face mask will be provided to you
